When visiting Budapest for business or leisure, you must stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace, a hotel known for opulence, luxurious style, and excellent service.
One of the best hotels in Europe, Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace was named after the 16th-century English financier Sir Thomas Gresham. It was opened in 1907 as an office building and residence for senior staff of the Gresham Company. It was occupied by the Red Army as a barracks during World War II, and was used as an apartment building during the time of the People's Republic of Hungary. It fell into disrepair until the end of the communist regime, and in1998, Gresco Investments Ltd acquired the building and received approval from the Budapest Heritage Board to reconstruct it as a luxury hotel, and ensuring that its original Art Nouveau architecture will be retained. In 2001, it became the property of Quinland Private which renovated the hotel, and in 2011 the State General Reserve Fund of Oman bought the hotel, but it is managed and operated by Four Seasons.
The Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace is a unique art nouveau landmark and a luxurious five-star hotel overlooking the Danube River and the Chain Bridge. It has 179 spacious guest rooms that are equipped with modern and world-class amenities, including 19 suites which feature private step-out balconies and vaulted ceilings. Its facilities and services include free wifi internet access in all areas of the hotel, an indoor infinity edge swimming pool, health club and fitness center, 24-hour business center, restaurant, bar and lobby lounge, and a spa. The hotel can also arrange family activities and tours around Budapest.
